How Age Calculation Works (Formula & Logic)

Our Age Calculator uses precise mathematical calculations to determine age. Here’s the logic:

1. Basic Age Calculation (Years, Months, Days)

• Years = Current Year – Birth Year
• Months = Current Month – Birth Month
  • If the result is negative, subtract 1 from Years and add 12 to Months.
• Days = Current Day – Birth Day
  • If the result is negative, subtract 1 from Months and add the days of the previous month.

2. Adjusting for Leap Years

• February has 29 days in a leap year instead of 28.
